RAINOLDI – Sondrio

In the second half of the 1950s, his son Giuseppe decides to join him. The growth in quality begins with the purchase of grapes instead of wine, just as the sale in bottles replaces that in chestnut barrels. This phase coincides with the expansion of the markets: not only Lombardy and Switzerland, but also the United States, Japan, and Northern Europe, thanks to a wider and more differentiated range of wines.

At the end of the Nineties, after completing his studies in viticulture and oenology, Aldo Rainoldi, Giuseppe’s grandson, joins the company to continue the family tradition. The aim is to combine qualitative growth with respect for the environment, leading the company to the next generation.
Today Rainoldi is one of the most popular wineries in Valtellina.
The great success is surely due to quality and experience, two factors that place Rainoldi among the most refined wines in Valtellina.

The Rainoldi winery offers the most demanding and enthusiastic wine lovers a vast assortment that includes Inferno, Sassella, Grumello and Sforzato (or Sfursat) red wines, as well as the amazing white wines from the Alps.
The selection is completed by Nebbiolo sparkling wine, both Rosé and Pas Dosé di Valtellina (Valtellina Zero-Dosage).
