Abandoned lands, ruined buildings, a small stream always generous of water, bursting nature in a smooth valley near the sea.
In 2002 we started to recover this wonderful place, we planted the vineyards, restored the ancient mills of the ‘700 and give life and energy again to this forgotten place. The vineyards, 2.7 hectares, located on the hills at 90 to 120 meters above sea level, follow the natural trend of the slope of the land, riding on a hill, and are oriented north-south, optimizing the light of the sun. The red vines, classic of the Bolgheri DOC, are mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah, but also Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Pugnitello. The white vines are Vermentino, Manzoni Bianco and Viognier. The vines, raised with spurred cordon, guyot and sapling, are grown in a natural way, with the organic certification of Icea, and biodynamic of Demeter, without chemical fertilizers, without the use of systemic products, favoring the fertilization of the land with the practice of green manure and with symbiosis with mycorrhizae. The vines are grown without organic fertilizers, leaving the task of finding the resources to them, in order to grow autonomously, producing grapes that are authentic expression of the territory. The fermentation is done using only the indigenous yeasts of the vineyard. The wine is aged in cement and terracotta containers and in oak barrels of 10 and 23 hectoliters. The low yield per hectare (50 quintals), the selection of the grapes and the naturalness of the vinifications without adding chemical additives, express and enhance the uniqueness of the Bolgheri’s terroir in the wine.
€ 35 SIMPLY We will walk through the vineyards explaining our agricultural philosophy, with description of the way of rearing the vines, organic and biodynamic farming, highlighting the differences with conventional viticulture. We will tell you the phases of the development of the vine, of every type of vine present in the company, I will describe the cultivation operations, the disciplinary of cultivation of the DOC Bolgheri. In the fermentation area I will explain how we make the harvest and the process of winemaking. Then we will visit our cellar and I will tell you what wines we produce, their characteristics and the aging systems. Finally, the guided tasting of our 5 organic wines. The duration of this visit is about 1 hour, including the tasting.
€ 45 TOGETHER After a visit to the vineyards and cellar, the tasting, conducted personally by Marina, of our 5 organic and biodynamic wines, Bolgheri Vermentino DOC, Bolgheri Rosato DOC, Igt Costa Toscana Rosso IGT, Bolgheri Rosso DOC and Bolgheri Superiore DOC, will be accompanied by a mixed platter with cheeses, meats, vegetables and organic bread, foods of various intensity to be progressively combined with each wine. The products are selected by us personally among the best organic and biodynamic in Tuscany. The duration of this visit is about 1 and a half hours, including the tasting.
€ 60 COMBINED After a visit to the vineyards and cellar, you will have an experience aimed at enhancing your senses, from the vineyard to the tasting, personally led by Marina. The tasting of 5 organic and biodynamic wines, Doc Bolgheri Vermentino, Doc Bolgheri Rosato, Igt Costa Toscana Rosso, Doc Bolgheri Rosso and Doc Bolgheri Superiore, will be accompanied by 5 selected samples to enhance each specific wine. The foods are chosen by us personally among the best organic and biodynamic in Tuscany. The duration of this visit is about 2 hours, including tasting and food products.
€ 50 A GLASS IN THE FOREST You will be free to discover our vineyards. Upon your arrival you can choose a bottle of our wines, of the vintages on sale, including Doc Bolgheri Vermentino, Doc Bolgheri Rosato, Doc Bolgheri Rosso and Igt Costa Toscana Rosso, at the price of the winery, along with a basket with two glasses. Time: as you like.
€ 110 LET’S TASTE The tasting of our 5 biodynamic organic wines will be led by a Professional Sommelier with an introduction to the professional wine tasting and drafting of tasting data sheets for each wine tasted. Basically a small concentrated course to appreciate the wine in a more intense way. The duration of this visit is 3 hours, including tasting and tastings, minimum groups of 4 people.
€ 80 WINEGROWER FOR A DAY A training visit will allow you to better understand our vines, in fact you can attend and participate in the work done in the vineyard, together with the winemakers and explore every corner of the vineyards. The tasting takes place in the tasting room, above the cellar, with 5 selected foods to accompany and enhance each specific wine, as in the previous visit, or, if you prefer, a large table under a pergola to eat together with the winemakers and Marina. The duration of this visit is 6 hours, including tasting and food products, minimum groups of 4 people.
