Time is wine. The history of the Moroder estate is lost over the centuries. The time that marks the very nature of our life is for us the secret behind every good wine. From the eighteenth century to today we have kept this secret with love and we tell you about it here, in this video of a few moments which for us contains a sense of eternity. And that tells you about our way of making wine, of course.
Between oak and terracotta. Up until a few centuries ago, our cellar was a stable and an ice house. Today the ancient vaulted cave, dug out of the clay, houses the small barrels for refining and maturing the wines where supplies were once kept, surrounded by snow and hay. The largest barrels, in French and Slavonian oak, are today where the oxen and horses once rested. Over time we have expanded the cellar, always underground, following the ridge of Monte Conero. In the new premises we produce and store the wine, between oak walls and terracotta vaults, at a perfect temperature. And we’ve set up a great tasting room, of course. € 20 The tour includes an introduction to the Conero area on the terrace overlooking the company’s vineyards. We continue by visiting the cellar, with the large aging vats for Rosso Conero, and then descend into an ancient cave from the 1800s. We then move on to the more modern part: the underground barrique cellar, where the reserves age for several years in small oak, and the rooms dedicated to bottling. At the end of the visit, the chosen wines can be tasted comfortably seated at the tables of the farmhouse. It will be possible to taste the Dorico, the company’s flagship wine included in numerous guides as one of the historic wines of regional and national enology. This is the time we want our customers to spend, hosting them in a warm and welcoming environment in a carefully and respectfully renovated 19th-century farmhouse. During the summer, it is possible to fully enjoy the panoramas of the Conero, having dinner on the terrace overlooking the hills and vineyards of the company.
