The company promotes hospitality and conviviality for all wine lovers, creating special moments of sharing with organised national and international groups. Incoming is a great opportunity to introduce our wines and the flavours of our land.
In these contexts we give the opportunity to visitors to try Sicilian products, combining all our wines with many typical Sicilian products such as: Sausage, Caponata, Sarde, fresh and aged cheeses combined with honey or orange marmalade, Cannolo and Ravioli di ricotta. Each event is improved by the natural landscape that surrounds the winery, located close to the Finestrelle Nature Reserve and the Museum of Mediterranean Textures, houses of various artworks.
The company directly controls the entire production chain. The terroir and vines to be planted are carefully selected. We use only natural, non-invasive cultivation and treatment techniques during the grape growth and ripening phases. For fertilisation we use ‘green manure’ by burying field beans, sulla, vetch, etc. We harvest the grapes manually to prevent damage or loss of quality. We have created a photovoltaic system to improve energy efficiency. The exclusive, distinctive Ferreri wines have made a name for themselves in various geographical areas, including Italy, Austria, England, Canada and the USA. A number of prizes and awards have been the result.
The partners founded the winery back in 2003 after having experimented for two years. They finally got it right, and now produce the best of wines from the various grapes grown on our land. The production philosophy adopted by the company has been to make the most of local white and red varieties. The idea is to cultivate and make wine exclusively from indigenous grapes.
The first grapes were Nero D’avola and Catarratto. The company then decided to focus on other varieties that are strongly rooted in Western Sicily. In terms of reds, these would include Pignatello and Cabernet Sauvignon. When it comes to whites, they went for Grillo, Zibibbo and Inzolia. Eventually, Spumante (sparkling wine) from the Catarratto Extralucido variety would be added to the mix. Passito di Zibibbo and Extra Virgin Olive Oil obtained from the famous Nocellara del Belice were also produced. our hard work and commitment to producing a product of the highest quality has won us numerous national and international awards over the years.
