Description
The impressive bulk of the building immediately strikes the eye of the beholder, who is given the impression of standing before a real medieval castle, thanks to its tall crenelated towers with their bow windows, chimneys disguised by pinnacles and double acutely arched windows.
A flight of steps leads to the portico and its three arches on the main façade, which looks out over the park.
The side of the Castello that faces Piazza Nicolò Papadopoli and the local church is actually not the most important façade but it is by no means less splendid.
To one side, between the building and the huge entry gate, the big beautiful fountain stands under tall plane trees, complete with three tiered basins. The largest, featuring four lions, each lying down and facing a different point on the compass, collects the water that spills out in a curtain and splashes from the two above, supported on a slender central column.

| The Castle: a splendid building in Neo-Gothic English style with ancient origins (1192). It is a massive structure with crenellated towers, bow-windows, chimney disguised as pinnacles and pointed arches windows: it gives you the impression of being if front of a real medieval English Castle. The Historic Park: a 12-hectare oasis that has come down to the present day completely intact in its original beauty. The entire route winds through centuries-old plants, groves and large meadows and a suggestive lake overlooked by the castle with 2 islands that can be reached by boat, bicycle or on foot. The Historic Farm: a vast and unique complex that has remained intact over the centuries and which still carries witness to peasant roots and their evolution. During the visit you can admire the “Cantina Granda” (with its magnificent barrels), the massive granary (the second largest truss in the Republic of Venice, like the room of the Maggior Consiglio, of Palazzo Ducale in Venice), the old dairies (where the original tools are still visible) and the “Caneve” (the historic nucleus already existing in 1427).Wine Tasting: surrounded by a splendid amphitheatre of barrels, we will talk about wine, about our choices and our experiences.
